Missions Statement

The purpose of the World Missions Offering (WMO) at LFBC is to promote the gospel in our community, state, nation and world. We will meet physical needs only if this will further the great commission. (Matthew 28:19 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Fatuer and the Son and the Holy Spirit.")

We seek to do this by:

1. Encouraging members to give of their finances (above their tithe) to the WMO. (Philippians 4:17 - Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.)
2. Keeping members educated and aware of mission work through SBC and locally through LFBC in order to encourage regular prayer on their behalf. (Ephesians 6:18 - With all prayer and petition prayer at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.)
3. Encouraging involvement from members, children on up, to have hands on participation in missions trips and projects. (Ephesians 2:10 - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.)
